Thomas Haigh, professor of history at UWM, shows off his vintage personal computer collection, a few of which are discussed in the book “A New History of Modern Computing,” which he coauthored with Paul E. Ceruzzi. The tan desktop is an Apple IIe from about 1983. The flat computer closest to Haigh is an IBM Portable PC 5155 from 1984.
