Three Lab employees viewed Tuesday’s (March 14) launch to the International Space Station of the LLNL-developed Stellar Occultation Hypertemporal Imaging Payload (SOHIP), a telescope that observes and measures atmospheric gravity waves and turbulence. From left to right are: electrical engineers Collin Averill and Jordan Karburn and David Patrick, the SOHIP’s project lead. The building in the background is the Vehicle Assembly Building, where NASA assembles its launch vehicles, including all of the Apollo missions.
