At Argonne, students in the SCGSR program will have the chance to conduct hands-on research, with professional STEM researchers such as materials scientist Justin Connell ready to assist as mentors.
Stephen Klippenstein, an Argonne distinguished fellow in theoretical chemistry, will mentor Nicholas Dewey in researching gas phase chemical physics for SCGSR.
Krishnan Raghavan, an assistant computational scientist, will mentor Karen Medlin, who is researching applied mathematics as part of the SCGSR program.
