Dr. Kimberly Wood, an assistant professor of meteorology at Mississippi State University, is available to discuss Hurricane Florence and its potential impacts as it moves closer to landfall. Wood, a member of the American Meteorological Society, specializes in tropical meteorology. She is currently pursuing research related to tropical climatology, land impacts of tropical cyclones and tropical-extratropical interaction events.
