CHARLES, IL - The Nutrition & Foodservice Education Foundation (NFEF), the philanthropic arm of ANFP, re-launched at the National Leadership Conference in Savannah with a bold new focus and mission. The new NFEF is helping the foodservice and nutrition profession stay ahead of rapid change by fostering innovative thinking, cutting-edge research, and new ideas.
The Foundation’s 2013-2014 Executive Committee is comprised of Chair Vicky Kearney, CDM, CFPP, director of food management programs at Armstrong Nutrition Management in Sturgis, Mich. Chair Elect is Katie Clay, RD, LDN of Hegins, Pa. Secretary-Treasurer is Millie Bailey-Zarate, CDM, CFPP, regional sales manager at Simply Thick in Johnson Creek, Wis. Immediate Past Chair is Linda Hackworth, CDM, CFPP, nutrition services manager at Madison County Schools in Richmond, Ky.
Newly appointed as a trustee to the Foundation Board is Bill St. John, CAE, former CEO of ANFP, St. Charles, Ill. He joins the following trustees who are continuing their service on the Foundation Board: Terri Edens, CDM, CFPP, corporate dietary manager field supervisor at Heritage Enterprises in Bloomington, Ill.; Jacqui Gustafson, RD of West Hartford, Conn.; Linda Halverson, CDM, CFPP of Stoughton, Wis.; Jeremy Manners, CDM, CFPP, culinary & nutrition director at West Haven Manor in Apollo, Pa.; Becky Rude, MS, RD, CDM, CFPP, program manager for the Division of Continuing Education at University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D.; and Bob Sala, founder and director at large for Distribution Market Advantage in Schaumburg, Ill.
