The University's Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is partnering with the Baltimore Development Corporation, the Emerging Technology Centers, and the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore to bring this event to UB. In addition to taking pitch ideas from some of UB's best student and alumni entrepreneurs, an open mike pitch platform will be available for anyone who wants to run their ideas and concepts past the visiting experts and receive immediate feedback.
"This year, we've changed our focus to make it less about competing for the best idea and more about simply learning how pitching your good idea really works," said Johnetta Hardy, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. "We're proud to be asked again by Startup Maryland to host the rally, and we anticipate a big crowd of entrepreneurs, their supporters and fans, and of course, some of the area's top leaders in small businesses. Entrepreneurs from all across UB, plus those who may be mulling over an idea that they think could be a business, are going to be glad they came out. It’s simply a great opportunity and a perfect way to start the fall semester at UB."
