Newswise — The University of North Florida has been identified as having one of the top online Master’s in Nutrition programs in the nation by the Top Masters in Healthcare Administration.

UNF was named in the Top 20, ranking No. 7 in a list of both public and private non-profit colleges and universities in the United States that offer online graduate programs in nutrition, dietetics and related areas. UNF bested colleges such as Rutgers University, Loma Linda University and Auburn University, to name a few.

“The UNF on-line MS Nutrition Program is committed to transforming students into valued professionals through the pursuit and acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors essential for lifelong learning,” said Dr. Judith Rodriguez, chair of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at UNF.

In addition to having a distance education advanced program in nutrition and dietetics, methodology for this ranking looked at accreditation, association of nutrition departments and program memberships, experiential learning opportunities/internships and affordability.

The Bachelor of Science Didactic Program in Dietetics and the Masters of Science and Dietetic Internship programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
