Newswise — September 24, 2019 – The American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, and Soil Science Society of America will host Embracing the Digital Environment ASA, CSSA, SSSA International Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. The meeting will be held Nov. 10-13, 2019; media are invited. Nearly 4,000 agronomists, and crop and soil scientists will be at the meeting.
Now, more than ever, the need for quick dissemination of accurate scientific information is important. From how to optimize soil health to when to plant crops based on current weather conditions, scientists will be presenting the latest research and practice updates. Speakers from colleges and universities, government agencies, and private companies around the world will give presentations.
Fifty-three countries, including the United States, will be represented at this annual international meeting. A few of the other countries represented by speakers will include: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Israel, Japan, and Nigeria.
Experts in agronomic production systems, climatology and modeling, land management and conservation, crop breeding and genetics, genomics, forestry, soil physics and hydrology, and more will be making presentations.
