A new Syrian ceasefire plan is set to take effect on the evening of Monday, September 12. If seven days of calm are established, the plan, brokered by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry, would lead to co-operation between the two countries on establishing peace in Syria.
Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies, can talk about what the ceasefire might mean for the future of Syria.
