Maya Wei-Haas - National Geographic

Maya Wei-Haas is a science writer with a passion for rocks and reactions. She writes about all things science for National Geographic, including geology, chemistry, and the environment. Before that, she was an assistant science editor for Smithsonianmag.com’s Smart News. She began her career as a scientist, earning a Ph.D. in environmental chemistry from Ohio State University. She then made the jump to writing with the AAAS Mass Media Fellowship. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from Smith College.

Caitlin Tilley - Daily Mail

Award-winning health reporter Caitlin Tilley works for Daily Mail. She was named one of the PPA 30 Under 30 and the MJA Newcomer of the Year 2022. She moved in with them from the Pulse magazine for British doctors. Additionally, Caitlin has written for The Guardian, VICE, and Business Insider. She graduated with a master’s in journalism from Goldsmiths College in London.
