Ammar Husan, MD, is a board-certified family physician who emphasizes comprehensive treatment and the need for healing both mentally and physically. He has conducted extensive traumatic brain research funded by the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Defense.
Dr. Husan earned a medical degree from the Medical University of the Americas in St. Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies. He also holds an MBA in health care management. He completed a residency in family medicine at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport. He is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, Louisiana State Medical Society, American Medical Association and Obesity Medicine Association.
