In the Face Of Continuing Legal Challenges and the Impending November Elections,What Does The Future Hold For Obamacare?
Newswise — Attorney Daniel E. Dawes, author of the new book, 150 Years of ObamaCare (May 15, 2016, from Johns Hopkins University Press), is available to offer an authoritative, behind-the-scenes account of the passing of ObamaCare–the greatest and most sweeping equalizer in the history of American health care. Dawes can tell the secret backstory of the creation and implementation of the law from the perspective of those intimately involved in its passing. Dawes can also provide an unprecedented review of the history of the health equity movement, from as early as the administration of John Adams to post-Civil War Reconstruction to now, and the little-known leadership efforts that were crucial to passing public policies and laws reforming mental health, minority health, and universal health.
Dawes was an instrumental player in a large coalition of organizations that helped shape the Affordable Care Act, and his first-hand experience of the law and the history that led up to it is unparalleled. Health care is one of the most complex issues in American politics, and a topic on which the next election could turn. Dawes is skilled at explaining the ins and outs of the complicated bill in easy-to-understand ways.
Dawes and his new book provide:
