Babson MBA Students Showcase Product Innovations at Third Annual Product Design Fair

Nine teams of three to six students each from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson Colleghe will showcase their product innovations at the College's Third Annual Product Design Fair. Three of last year's designs resulted in a marketable product for the sponsoring company. One of these three designs has also received a patent.

Bay State's Media Literacy Movement Receives Grant From Early TV Pioneer

Mass. educators who specialize in media literacy--critical thinking about television, newspapers, radio, magazines, movies. and the Internet--are the recent recipients of a $50,000 grant from the Felton Media Literacy Scholars Program. Renee Hobbs, associate professor, communication, Babson College will direct the program scheduled to begin this spring for 15 Boston-area educators and media professionals.

Eng Receives Fulbright Scholar Award
Babson College

Robert J. Eng, associate professor of marketing at Babson College, was selected by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board to receive a Fulbright Scholar award to the People's Republic of China. His research will center on two emerging business issues for China: finding, attracting, and retaining qualified personnel; and examining the country's distribution and transportation networks.

Babson MBAs Win Lotus Marketing Competition

A team of MBA students from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College beat the competition from Boston College, Boston IUniversity, MIT, Northeastern University, and Suffolk University to win first place in the Lotus Bean Town MBA Marketing Competition.

Glavin Center: Global Entrepreneurial Leadership

In a surprise tribute to its retiring president and former corporate executive William F. Glavin, Babson College announced the naming of the William F. Glavin Center for Global Entrepreneurial Leadership at Babson College. Major donations and net proceeds from the New York event have garnered $15.5 million to fund eight endowed faculty chairs for the Center.
