Newswise — Crelligence Media has won Babson College’s Undergraduate Business Plan Competition.

Crelligence Media is a social media marketing company that specializes in compensated consumer-generated media. The initial service called Viralskool, a creative community employing user-generated video, helps clients build better brands and better products. www.crelligence.com First runner-up MyHometownLink’s mission is to wrap a social network around the part-time parent/student job market within individual towns across the country. www.myhometownlink.com Second runner-up Professional Ambulance is a growing provider of ambulance transportation to patients that require medical attention during both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Established through the generosity of former Babson President William F. Glavin and his wife, Cecily M. Glavin, the John H. Muller Jr. Business Plan Competition prize honors the entrepreneurial accomplishments of John H. Muller Jr., founder and former chairman of General Housewares Corporation and chairman of the Babson College Board of Trustees from 1989 to 1997. Business plans are evaluated by alumni volunteers from throughout the world, and then the finalists make their presentation to an independent panel of judges.

The undergraduate business plan competition was held during Babson’s Celebrating Student Venturing events this year.
