JOHN HANCOCK EXECUTIVE TO SPEAK AT BOSTON COLLEGE GRADUATE MANAGEMENT COMMENCEMENT

Marketing Professor to Receive Alumni Award

Diane M. Capstaff, executive vice president at John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co., will be the speaker at the Monday, May 24, Commencement exercises of Boston College's Graduate School of Management. Capstaff, a 1981 MBA graduate of the school, will also receive an alumni award, along with Raymond F. Keyes, an alumnus and long-time marketing professor at the school who is retiring this year. The ceremony begins at 12 noon on Boston College's main campus.

One of the highest-ranking executives at John Hancock, Ms. Capstaff is a member of the company's six-person Policy Committee. In addition to her Boston College MBA, she holds a bachelor's degree from George Washington University. An advocate for education and the needs of families, she is the recipient of numerous awards, including the New England Council's Leadership Award to Women in Business.

Professor Keyes and Ms. Capstaff will receive the Eagle Award, an honor given to Boston College Graduate School of Management alumni who have distinguished themselves through their professional accomplishments and service to the community.
