Newswise — Does the holiday season mean a package of anxiety or depression will be tucked under your Christmas tree? Sheryl Jackson, Ph.D., director of UAB's Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive program, said the stress and pressure of the season could cause people to be anxious or depressed. "It's the season of giving, but you must be able to relax and give to yourself, too, so you'll have something left to give to others."
