Many political analysts say Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney won the first presidential debate, largely because he had an air of confidence. President Barack Obama (D) did not perform as well as expected, many criticized. Communication -- expression of words and body language -- can have just as much effect as the words themselves, maybe more. Next up, the Vice Presidential Debate on Thursday, 10/11, and the second Presidential Debate on Tuesday, 10/16.

Saint Mary's College communication professor Michael Kramer has a unique expertise in political communication/rhetoric. He is available for media interviews for pre- and post-debate analysis regarding the expectations for each candidate, communication strategies they may use, the importance of nonverbal communication in debates, what communication strategies they actually used, strong and weak moments for each candidate, and who 'won.'
