Dec. 5, 2017 – The board members of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Organization for Association Degree Nursing (OADN) made the announcement today that the two organizations have entered into a partnership. The goal of this partnership is to increase the benefits and the efficacy of the support network for associate degree nursing (ADN) programs and their students. While both the ACEN and OADN will continue to operate completely independently and will not gain any ownership interests, rights, or financial stakes in the companion institution, the constituents of each organization will see many benefits starting as early as December 2017.
The Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) and CastleBranch have announced a new, collaborative initiative to promote the development and academic progression of health care professionals. Through the adoption of the CastleBranch Bridges (CB Bridges) platform, OADN members will immediately realize significant program benefits while capturing the data necessary for visibility into the nationwide nursing pipeline.
The National Education Progression in Nursing Collaborative (NEPIN) has formally launched to accelerate educational advancement for nurses across the United States. NEPIN’s diverse stakeholders have joined to establish a national focus that will identify, support and scale up practices that advance BSN and higher nurse preparation in response to the urgency of this initiative.
OADN, as the Premier Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, joins with nurses and nursing organizations across the country, in opposing the FY 2018 Budget Proposal. OADN will continue to advocate for federal support for Title VIII and nursing education programs as critical to supporting the delivery of healthcare and positive patient outcomes.
