Live from Newark, it’s ... Thursday night live with Lorne Michaels!

The “Saturday Night Live” creator will be at the University of Delaware's Mitchell Hall on Thursday, Oct. 21 for a chat about the intersection of politics and comedy, a place where “SNL” has lived since the show debuted in 1975.

Its significance goes beyond Dana Carvey’s caricature of George Bush and Darryl Hammond’s dead-on Bill Clinton – the show has been front and center in our larger national dialogue about politics for more than four decades. The event, which begins at 6 p.m., will be hosted by Valerie Biden Owens, chair of the Biden Institute. Media who are interested in covering the chat should email [email protected] and arrive no later than 5:30 p.m. Click here to view a livestream of the event.
