National Ranking for SDSU's Entrepreneurship Program

(San Diego) -- For the second year, The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University has been named one of the "25 Best Business Schools for Entrepreneurs," according to the September issue of SUCCESS magazine.

This is the fourth annual listing of top entrepreneurship programs published by SUCCESS, and it spotlights the most innovative and high-quality programs. To be eligible for consideration, a school has to offer at least three distinct courses in entrepreneurship in its MBA program. SUCCESS reviewed 142 graduate business schools across the country.

"This is a great honor for our Entrepreneurial Management Center and the faculty, students and staff who have worked so hard to create a first-class program," said Michael Hergert, dean of the College. "We have had tremendous support from the community, which has allowed us to build one of the top programs in the nation. This national ranking is a recognition of our role as a leader in entrepreneurship education."

Other top business schools on the list include UCLA, Harvard, Wharton, Northwestern, University of Texas-Austin, Berkeley and Illinois.

To determine the "25 Best" listing, the magazine focused on five key areas: * The quality, longevity and resources of each school's entrepreneurship program (25% of score); * The qualifications of the entrepreneurship faculty (25%); * The depth and breadth of the entrepreneurship curriculum (15%); * Special programs that connect students with the business community (20%); * The caliber of students (15%). # # #
