Psychiatrists Help Back to School Kids Cope with Fears of Violence

As children prepare to go back to school this fall, memories of the tragic
shootings in American schools last school year will cause anxiety and fear
among many. The American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American
Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) have materials to help
parents, teachers, and school systems recognize troubled kids and help
others cope with fears of violence.

The following fact sheets are available on the web at www.aacap.org or by
automated fax service at 1-888-267-5400:
