Rhodes Corporate Website Now On-line
(Memphis)---Rhodes College has established a website for businesses and corporations.
The website (http://corpguide.rhodes.edu) encourages affiliations and partnerships between Rhodes and local businesses by offering information on various services for businesses, employers and corporations including conference services via the Smith and Nephew Conference Center, continuing education programs, internships, recruiting services and community outreach.
"As corporations increasingly use the internet to search for products and services that meet their needs, we have expanded our marketing efforts to include the information superhighway," said Debbie Pittman, director of the Meeman Center for Lifelong Learning at Rhodes.
One of Memphis' corporate executives agrees. "Business and corporate employers need quick and efficient access to services and programs that can support their efforts and benefit their employees," said Spence L. Wilson, president of Kemmons Wilson, Inc., a private real estate development and investment company. "Rhodes is continuing to strengthen its partnerships with the corporate community through projects like the website."
Rhodes offers liberal arts continuing education classes entirely taught by Rhodes faculty members, corporate development programs in leadership, human resource management, international studies, foreign language, business writing, and a full service conference center for business and social functions. The website also includes information on the Kinney Scholars, Rhodes students who are involved in numerous community service and volunteer efforts.
The site is a joint effort by the Rhodes Meeman Center for Lifelong Learning, the Development Office, the Chaplain's Office and the Office of Career Services.
