Newswise — Aaron Kupchik, a professor of sociology and criminal justice at the University of Delaware, is available for interviews pertaining to school crime and safety in the wake of the firing of South Carolina high school deputy Ben Fields.

Kupchik researches juvenile delinquency, school crime, juvenile courts and prisons. He has written two books spanning those topics, "Judging Juveniles: Prosecuting Adolescents in Adult and Juvenile Courts" and "Homeroom Security: School Discipline in an Age of Fear." He also sits on the Campaign for Youth Justice's advisory board.
