Newswise — Jeff Gaffney, Chair and Professor of Chemistry at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and Chief Scientist for the Department of Energy's Global Change Education Program is available to discuss global climate change and air quality issues that are facing us as world populations continue to increase and we continue to burn fossil fuels for electrical power and transportation.

Dr. Gaffney is the Lead Scientist for recent study in Mexico City supported by the U.S. Department of Energy's Atmospheric Science Program examining the impacts of megacities (those cities with more than 10 million in population) on regional levels of aerosols that can effect weather and climate, as well as impact air quality.
