WHO: The American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) is an association of more than 8,000 gastrointestinal (GI) professionals committed to thescientific study and medical treatment of disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract.

WHAT: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common GI disorders in the United States, affecting more than 58 million Americans. It is characterized by recurring symptoms of abdominal discomfort or pain, bloating, and an altered bowel habit, either constipation, diarrhea or both.

GI specialists will address the impact of new and emerging therapies for treating IBS, and how they can affect the quality of life for those suffering from the disorder.
