DURHAM, N.H.-- NASA's top administrator, Daniel S. Goldin, is scheduled to speak at the New England Regional Climate Change Impacts Workshop hosted by the University of New Hampshire's Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space (EOS) Sept. 3-5.

Over 100 representatives from the six New England states and upstate New York will meet to discuss climate change issues. The workshop, one of 16 regional workshops being held across the United States during the next two years, is part of a federal initiative to define the nation's research agenda in the area of climate change. Its purpose is to engage a broad representation of regional stakeholders in a dialogue with scientists researching climate change.

Additional scheduled speakers for the event include John P. Devillars, Environmental Protection Agency regional administrator, and Norman Willard from the EPA Office of Environmental Stewardship. UNH President Joan Leitzel and Berrien Moore III, EOS director, will also address the gathering.
