Newswise — Prof. Frank Wilczek, 2004 Nobel Prize Laureate in Physics, MIT Professor and distinguished scientist and lecturer, will be giving a public presentation on "The Origin of Mass and the Feebleness of Gravity" at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario. In his talk, targeted for a general audience, Prof. Wilczek will describe the scientific impact of the quest to explain the origins of mass itself " how it may help explain the weakness of gravity and what predictions it holds for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) coming online in Geneva in 2007.
Prof. Wilczek is also author of Fantastic Realities: 49 Mind Journeys and a trip to Stockholm and co-author of Longing for the Harmonies.
