The Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art personalized, patient-centered primary and specialty care to women. “NYU Langone Medical Center is dedicated to the comprehensive care of women in New York City,” said Nieca Goldberg, MD, medical director of the Joan H. Tisch Center for Women’s Health. “The new Center is equivalent to one-stop shopping with the ability to meet all the health care needs of women. It will allow our elite multidisciplinary team of physicians to treat the whole woman in a single, convenient and private office setting.”

The Center will be powered by physicians from NYU Langone Medical Center dedicated to listening to each woman’s unique medical needs and treating them with compassionate care. The new 18,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility located at 207 East 84th Street has three floors of exam rooms and physician consult rooms dedicated to women’s health. Diagnostic services include mammography, colonoscopy, pulmonary function tests, cardiac stress tests, echocardiograms, x-ray and ultrasound. In addition, the Center has a rehabilitation and physical therapy area plus space to host health education events for patients and the local community.

Women’s care services offered at the Joan H. Tisch Center for Women’s Health include: cardiovascular services, internal medicine, breast health, dermatology, endocrinology, ear, nose & throat, gastroenterology, gynecology, mental health services, neurology, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, podiatry, pulmonology medicine, rheumatology, urology, vascular services, and women’s imaging.

In addition, to offering the latest cutting-edge medical care and technology, the Center will incorporate the latest health management technology into all levels of the patient experience. This includes a new educational women’s health website and patient participation in NYU Langone’s electronic medical record system called Epic. Each patient’s electronic medical record will be safeguarded by PatientSecure, the hospital’s new state-of-the-art palm scanning technology that facilitates the accurate identification and registration of each patient. PatientSecure eliminates the need for the completion of paperwork and the public exchange of sensitive personal information. Also, patients can participate in MyNYULMC, a secure online service that confidentially provides patient access to their own medical records, test results, ability to make appointments, request prescriptions and communicate directly with their doctor’s office.
