Dr. Kaufman concluded his visit to San Antonio by participating at the ASIA Annual Meeting. On Saturday, May 17 he delivered a presentation entitled, Successful Reversal of Ventilator Dependency in Cervical Spinal Cord Injury and Stroke with Combined Upper Motor Neuron and Phrenic Nerve Lesions using Simultaneous Nerve Transfers and Diaphragmatic Pacemakers to an audience of physicians, psychologists, researchers, nurses, therapists, counselors, case managers, administrators.
